Dean's Foreword
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Riau.
I am Professor Ahmad Fadli, STM, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and it is my pleasure to welcome you to the academic home of future engineers, architects, and innovators.
The history of the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Riau began with a visionary step in 1981 through the establishment of the Non-Degree Faculty of Technology (FNGT). In 1994, this institution was officially transformed into the Faculty of Engineering and has since developed into a leading center of engineering education in Sumatra and beyond.
Today, our faculty consists of five academic departments, offering 15 study programs and one professional program, organized as follows:
1. Department of Civil Engineering
- Diploma 3 in Civil Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
2. Department of Chemical Engineering
- Diploma 3 in Chemical Engineering
- Diploma 3 in Pulp and Paper Technology
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
3. Department of Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma 3 in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
4. Department of Electrical Engineering
- Diploma 3 in Electrical Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics Engineering
